Antonio J. Henriquez Garcia, Executive Director

From: Caracas, Venezuela

Antonio J. Henriquez Garcia was born and raised in Latin America. After living for ten years in Caracas, Venezuela, his native city, Antonio lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for two years. In America, Antonio completed his high school and then became a student of economics freshman at Cornell University in 2011. Throughout the years, Antonio has traveled to Latin America and has had the opportunity to participate in different social groups in both high and low resource. His diverse experience and strong ties with Latin America propelled him to collaborate with their colleagues to found La Visión Latinoamericana at the end of 2012.

Gustavo E. Negrón Mattei, Manager of Finance

From: San Juan, Puerto Rico

Sophomore studying in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University. Gustavo is the Treasurer of La Visión Latinoamericana and participated in the founding of the organization as well. His research interests are within the business world and during his free time he likes to spend time with friends, listening to music, playing volleyball, mountain biking, playing volleyball on the beach and watching TV.

Gerardo Arroyo, Director of Communications

From: Caracas, Venezuela

Born in Caracas, Venezuela Venezuelan mother and Chilean father. In 1998 he moved with his family to the United States. Gerardo graduated from Florida International University in 2012 with a degree in political science double major in Criminal Justice and International Relations. Currently a member of the board of La Visión Latinoamericana.

Tim Shenk, Director of Communications

From: Indiana, USA

Tim Shenk is Coordinator of the Committee on US-Latin American Relations (CUSLAR), a member of the Center for Transformative Action headquartered in Cornell University. He is a journalist and social researcher who graduated from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. He studied economic development and gender relations in the Dominican Republic as a Fulbright Scholar from 2006 to 2007.

Gabriela Bosque Ortíz, Director of Programming

From: Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

Third-year student in the School of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University. Is completing her degree in biology and is involved in research in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior. She has an avid interest in natural sciences and likes to get involved in various organizations such as La Visión Latinoamericana and The Puerto Rican Association of Cornell. She tutors students and creatse educational and cultural programs as an advisor at Dickson Hall for freshmen.

Andres Sellitto Ferrari, Director of Programming


Andres Sellitto Ferrari is a student of Economics Freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences. Born and raised in Venezuela, with dual citizenship in Argentina, he received his primary and secondary studies at the Lycée Français de Caracas, from which he graduated with a "baccalauréat" in Economics and Social Sciences. An avid follower of politics and Latin American economic situation, Ferrari joined La Visión Latinoamericana in order to contribute to the development of the organization, to spread awareness about the events occurring in their regions of origin, and to encourage a better perception of Latin America in all its aspects.
